Prayers for the Senior High Youth and Pastor Amos Shinn from Arumdaun Presbyterian Church who will be doing outreach to the poor, summer VBS, and repair and painting of homes in Boston from August 7-13th.

Prayers of comfort for the family of the Rev. James M. Barr (HR) as they mourn his death. Viewing will be held at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Service to the Witness of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, July 26th at the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m.

Prayers of joy and thanksgiving for the First Presbyterian Church of Southampton on the installation of their new pastor, the Rev. Richard Boyer, on Sunday, July 25th at 3:30 p.m.

Prayers of strength for the Rev. Joseph Simpson (HR) as he continues with his physical rehabilitation.

Prayers of thanksgiving for Elder Kirk L. Dorn, Moderator of the Presbytery, who is now home after a lengthy illness.

Prayers of comfort for the Family of Joanna and Jimmy Hulsey (Smithtown) as they mourn the loss of Joanna's mother, Roberta Brockwell.

Prayers of healing for Elder Diane Perry's sister, Phyllis, who suffered a mild heart attack.

Prayers of comfort for the Family of John Woodward as they mourn his death. John is the brother of Jane Hollinshead, President of the Board of Trustees of the Presbytery of LI.

Prayers of joy and thanksgiving on the birth of Benjamin James Hart, son of the Revs. Andrew and Laura Hart. Benjamin James weighed 8 lbs 11 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. Both Mom and baby are doing well. Andrew is the pastor at the Old First Presbyterian Church in Huntington.

Prayers of comfort for Polly Duncan and Family as they mourn the loss of the Rev. Robert Duncan (he served as the former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church - Mineola and as Associate Pastor and Interim Ministers at Greenlawn ). Rev. Duncan died June 17th and the funeral will be in Massachusetts.

Prayers of comfort for Elder Al Mahlmann (Babylon) as he mourns the death of his wife. A funeral service will be Friday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in BBabylon.

Prayers of joy and thanksgiving on the birth of Aaron Ezra Teter ,son of the Revs. Ayana and Aaron Teter. Baby "Ezra" was born on May 27, 2010, weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 and 1/4 inches long. Congratulations to The Teter Family!

Prayers of comfort for the Rev. Timothy Hoyt Duncan and his family as they mourn the loss of Tim's mother.

Continued prayers for the people of Haiti who are continuing to struggle to survive in their country since the earthquake that devastated parts of the country in January 2010. Donations may be made through the Presbytery of Long Island.

Prayers of wholeness and healing for Robert Hulsey, son of the Rev. James and Joanna Hulsey (Smithtown).

Continued prayers for the victims of Hurricane Ike which is now known as the "forgotten storm". Hurricane Ike devastated Southeast Texas and Louisiana and thousands still need help.
